Interchangeable Capacities – Hallmarks of BRL Plants
Capacity requirements are closely linked to the process cycle of the product being manufactured. Since BRL has a very wide range of products, the capacities at both the Haryana and Gujarat plants are interchangeable depending upon the item. Each product manufactured by BRL is distinct from the other not only because of its own process cycle but also on account of seasonal factors. With this trump card of flexibility, the company is capable of increasing or restricting the production of a product at its interlinked units as per the market trends.
Advantageous locations of BRL Plants
Currently, our company has two manufacturing plants equipped with state-of-art process systems located in the states of Haryana and Gujarat.
Unit I at Mokhra village in Rohtak district of Haryana has been set up in a spacious building on the land owned by us. Built in 1990 and commissioned a year later, it has a capacity of 5000 MT per annum and also facilities for bulk packaging of formulations. It boasts of good infrastructure in terms of power and transportation links favorable for raw material vendors and shipment of finished products as well as skilled manpower to operate the plant.
Unit II set up in 2012 is at Dahej in Bharuch district of Gujarat on the western coast of India.
The plant worth $30 million is located on a plot measuring 105,000 sq. meters in an exclusive industrial estate created by the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC). Apart from the Dahej Port that has been bracketed with Chemical Approved Economic Zone, there are several other major and minor seaports (Maroli, Hazira, Pipavav, Bhavnagar, Veraval, Simar and Vansi Borsi) located in this region. Thus it is very convenient for import of raw materials or export of finished products. Transport (rail and road) network and availability of manpower are excellent in Dahej.
Both the units have pilot plant facilities to undertake process research on new products. With a commitment to promote health, safety and protect environment, BRL has equipped these units with in-house systems for treatment of solid, liquid and gaseous effluents. All these factors have facilitated the company to obtain certifications of ISO 9001:2008 for Quality Management, ISO 14001:2004 for Environment Management system and OHS 18001:2007 for Occupational Health and Safety.
